Monthly empties....

Tis the end of yet another month and so it's time for another monthly empties post. The majority of this months empties is perfume! I pulled out everything in my cupboard and found a load of perfume bottles that were almost used up. So I decided to use them all up before I started buying any new ones.

Let's start with perfumes:

* Britney Spears - Radiance. Smells like sweets
* Ralph Lauren - Romance. It's not sweet or floral but a gorgeous scent non the less
* Ghost - Enchanted Bloom. Kind of a floral fragrance
* Ghost - Ghost. I think with this you ether like it or you don't
* DKNY - Fresh blossom. A sweet floral scent
* Impulse - Loving words bodyspray. Such a gorgeous, summery sweet scent

I'm rubbish at describing scents as you can tell haha But I will say that I'd buy each and every one of these again!!

Next up, Hair:

* Herbal essences Breakage defender intensive mask. I've used this before and loved it. The smell is gorgeous - coconut and it leaves my hair so soft. A definite repurchase
* Avon daily shine dry ends serum. Again this leaves my hair super smooth and soft and something that I have and will repurchase again and again

Make up, body and face:

* Imperial leather bath cream - Japanese spa. Yet another product I've repurchased over and over. I love this stuff
* Rimmel professional eyebrow pencil. I've used this for years (not this actual one obviously) and love it. However I purchased the e.l.f eyebrow kit and love it!! If e.l.f ever stopped making the eyebrow kit, I'd go back to the rimmel pencil
* Balance me wonder eye cream. I got this free with last months Glamour magazine and ended up buying another copy to get a back up. I'll be honest, I didn't notice a difference in my eye area and I'm not sure if this is because I don't have lots of wrinkles I need getting rid of or not. I've got the other tube to use up so I'll say then whether I'd repurchase or not

That's it for this month kids, until next time.

Latest in beauty....

My latest in beauty box arrived over the weekend and I wanted to share what I got. First thing I want to say is this: When it came to picking out my products that I wanted to sample, I found that most of them were repeated form last month and the month before. So I didn't have as much choice as I have before, I still managed to get things that I haven't yet tried, but one of the samples I chose was a men's aftershave as I had already tried the other things in that section. Anyway here's what I picked out:

First product:

*Mont Blanc - Legend aftershave. I don't know what to say about this other than it smells REALLY good.

Second:

* Elemental herbology - Cell food. This is a facial serum and I wanted to try this out because I've used No7 'protect and perfect beauty serum' before and loved how it left my skin feeling. So I thought I'd give this a whirl and see if I noticed any difference with my skin.

And last but not least:

* Lavera Naturkosmetik eye gel. I'm getting to the point now where I'm starting to feel like I need to use eye creams and lotions and potions to help my skin a little. I've always cleansed and moisturised (slaps own wrists for not toning) and I now feel like I need to start using an eye cream every day and night and not just when I remember. I've tried a few out and not noticed any difference, and I don't know if this is because I don't have big bags and lots of wrinkles to get rid of, or if the cream isn't actually working. So I picked out this eye gel to try and see if I noticed a difference. Well that and the fact it's 'wild-rose' ;)

Have you tried any of these products?

I'll let you know how I get on

Weekly favourites....

It's Sundaaaaay and I've just realised, the last weekend in July! Where is this year going?!! The older you get the quicker time flies, I swear it! Anyway, onto this weeks (few) faves I have:

#1

Figs and Rouge 'Rambling Rose' balm:

I bought this because everyone and their mother were raving about it, and I'm so glad I did! The first thing I love is the smell. As you all know I'm now addicted to the smell of Rose, and this is quick strongly (not overpowering) scented. Secondly, this makes my lips feel so soft! I also noticed a teeny dry patch on my cheek the other day, where my foundation quite kindly clung to it, and so I added a small amount of this and boooom it was gone within a few hours.

#2

MUA Extreme felt eyeliner:

When I first bought this and reviewed it I was completely unsure as to whether I like it or not, for the pure reason I couldn't work it. I could never get it to apply in a straight line, and so I gave up trying it. However,I used it last Sunday, and fell completely in love with it and have used it every day since. It's very pigmented, doesn't smudge and lasts all day, and it really isn't that hard to use haha.

#3

Avon Super enchant mascara:

I'll admit, I bought this because it was on sale. That and I thought the wand looked very interesting. I actually adore this mascara and will most definitely be buying this, sale or no sale, again. It lengthens, separates and gives volume even with just one coat!

That's it, short but sweet!

Tropical eyes....

I wore this eye make up the other day and got a few compliments from people I work with so I thought I'd do an 'eye of the day' I've worn it quite a bit, and it's so simple to do. All I used was on 'palette' from Collection called 'Lemon Tropics' I bought this so long ago, so I'm not too sure if it's still available to buy.

I love these colours for summer, so bright an colourful. You can wear one colour, two or like I do, all three:

All I did was placed the yellow on the inner third of my eye (upper and lower) then the green in the centre, making sure to blend them together. Then I applied the blue on the outer third and blended it into the gree. Tadaaa that's it, simple but pretty :)

Random haul of bits and bobs....

Yet another haul! I ordered my Avon and e.l.f stuff over a week ago, then the day I decide to pick up a few bits, they both arrive! I really didn't need to get any of this, but I'm drawn to pretty things! I just can't help myself :P

First up I needed a new clutch for my sister's wedding on Saturday (21st) so checked Peacocks, and found this mustard one reduced to £4.00 from £8.00. The strap has clips either side so it can be taken off

Next I needed some tea tree lotions and potions because my chin has nicely decided to break out and my little cousin told me Wilkinsons do a good Tea tree anti-spot stick. It was 98p or two things for £1.50, so I bought the spot stick and a cleanser to try out

Lastly I popped into Topshop because I read a tweet saying that they now sell 'Figs and Rouge balm' This is something I've wanted to try out for a while now so knew I had to pick one up. Whilst in there, I noticed that they had a few make up items for sale and I wasn't going to let that pass me by. I got two cream eyeshadows for £1.00 each in 'Emerald city' and 'Velvet', and an eye crayon in 'Rock chick' also £1.00 BARGAIN!!

I love the look of the cream eyeshadows. They're SO pretty! I'll give them a test run and let you know how I get on. I'm just hoping the don't crease, because they're beautiful colours.

Olympic eyes....

Yet another Olympic themed post from me (has to be done, it's all very exciting!!) this time; eyes :D

The red is more of a burgundy, because I thought this would be more wearable than a bright red. That and the fact I don't own a bright red! haha

Here's what I used:

* White - Shade 2 from MUA - On the inner half of my eye
* Blue - Shade 3 from MUA 'Glamour nights' palette - On the outer half of my eye, making sure to blend the blue and white
* Red - Shade 25 from MUA - Blended into my crease
* Liner - MUA Extreme felt liner

Avon calling....

I ordered some things from Avon a couple of days before I ordered my things from e.l.f and they both turned up at the same time (Not complaining, it was like Christmas haha) Here's what I got:

* I picked out 'Secret fantasy star' perfume because I watched an Avon haul video a while back (I can't remember who the Youtuber was sorry) and she said it was really nice. And it is. It's got a slight vanilla scent. It kind of reminds me slightly of Soap and Glory's 'Clean girls' bodywash, but this is nicer. This was £5.99

* Colour trend Read my lips lipgloss in 'watermelon ice' 99p and Colour trend Kiss 'n' go lipstick in 'Amethyst' £1.85

* Colour me pretty nail enamel in 'Green Morph' This is such a pretty colour, it's a maroon kind f colour with green undertones. You do need to apply quite a few coats of this, but it's still really nice. £1.50

* Super enchant mascara in 'Black' I bought this for two reasons 1) It was on sale and 2) It has a funky wand which I really wanted to try :P £2.99

* Angled brush. I actually bought this for my kit. I use this myself already, for applying powder highlighter and love it so wanted to get on for my kit too £3.50

Think I may do a review on the mascara once I've had a good try of it. I love the wand, so have high hopes for this bad boy!

* Yellow - Rimmel 'Sunshine'
* Black - Rimmel 'Black satin'
* Green - China Glaze 'Holly-day'

Every cloud has a silver lining....

I previously posted about my e.l.f haul and showed the eyeshadows I bought. I wanted to test them out and a lovely lady on twitter asked me to do a look, so I figured I'd do a few using the three quads I bought. The first one I used is the 'Silver lining' one, 2 pinks, a purple and a grey.

Here's what I came up with:

* First I applied the darker pink all over my lid
* I then took the purple and added this to my crease, making sure I blended well
* For highlight, I used the very pale pink
* And lastly I used the grey on my lower lash line
* For liner I used MUA extreme felt liner

So far, I'm loving these quads. really pigmented and blend really easily.
